Just wanted to drop a quick post to clarify some changes in the Monster Java line up. Most of the drinks are still available with the exception of Monster Java Chai Hai and Monster Java Russian. Monster Java Lo-Ball STILL EXISTS, the only thing that has changed is it name, which is now Monster Java Vanilla Light. Also Monster Java Originale has been renamed Monster Java Kona, and Monster Java Nut-Up was renamed Monster Java Toffee. They still TASTE THE SAME, only the names have changed. Along with Recovery and Cola, ROCKSTAR Energy recently launched two new products; Pink for the ladies and the powerful 2X. Both come in 12 fl.oz cans and Pink – that is made with females in mind – comes with a drinking-straw attached for easy sipping. The new ROCKSTAR’s are still hard to find in the stores . Anheuser-Busch has completed its 180 on its 180 Energy Drink line. As of this month EnergyThis will send out the new and reformulated 180′s as the old line is no longer available. The brewer’s non-alcoholic distribution arm, 9th Street Beverages, has rolled out a reformulated and repackaged version of its 180 energy drink this month, and for all of you 180 fans – the new product veers away from the original. The new 180’s nutrition panel now includes fiber in addition to the B- and C- vitamins included in the original, plus the product now uses natural colors, natural fruit flavors and natural caffeine from Guarana. The three flavor line will also keep the same flavor selection (citrus, acai and goji) will be available in 16 oz. cans. EnergyThis will add the 180 Red energy which comes with natural Himalayan Goji berry flavor to its line up during the month of May 2009.

This week we had our Monster Representative stop by our office and drop off 4 of their new products due out soon.  He brought us three of the new Java products that included Chai Hai, Lo-Ball, and an Irish Blend, as well as their new Mixx’d product.  So far we’ve only tried the new Chai Hai and it’s kind of hard to describe as to how it tastes.  I think it’s going to be a great seller, especially for those people who like Chai Tea, but the new products in my opinion are going to sell like hot cakes.  As I’ve said before, American’s are obsessed with two things, Coffee and Energy drinks.  Monster has taken this concept and run with it making them the leader in Coffee Energy Drinks.  Here’s a list of the Java Products Monster now has: Mean Bean, Loca Moca, Big Black, Chai Hai, Lo-Ball, Irish Blend, Russian, and Nut-Up.

It seems as though everyone is trying to get a piece of the Energy Drink craze so it will be interesting to see what other companies come out with.
