Just to let everyone know, we’re officially fully stocked with both the Rockstar Roasted products as well as the new Monster Java products.  We just added the Rockstar Roasted products onto our website today 2/14/2008 and we added the new Monster Java products on the site this past week.  So far the new Monster Java products have been selling like hot cakes and rumor has it people are really enjoying the Rockstar Roasted drinks.  Visit our store to purchase today!

If any of you are NASCAR fans, then I’m sure you’ve heard of the infamous Ron Ripple “NASCAR’s Biggest Fan” over at www.RonRipple.com. If you haven’t, visiting his website is a must. The reason I speak of this is because he’s currently holding a contest giving away one case of AMP Energy Drinks.

As most have heard, AMP Energy Drink has stepped up it’s game when it comes to marketing and getting their name out. Anyone watching the superbowl saw the hilarious commercials pumping up their Energy Drink. The latest headline for AMP is their support and sponsor of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in his #88 car. Ron Ripple asked us to donate a case of energy drinks for a contest he’s holding and who better to support than Ron. Oh and we now carry it!

I think AMP Energy had by far the best Superbowl Commercial. You can’t beat an overweight guy dancing to some old school music trying to jump start a car with his energy. Check out his face and tell me thats not determination. If I had half the energy or dance moves he had we’d be living in a very energy efficient world.

By the way we still don’t carry Pepsi products in our online store, but we had to at least give credit where credit is due! So let me know what you think about this video.

So you’re thinking about starting up your own energy drink, that’s GREAT! The competition is vicious. It’s not an easy task, but maybe Your Energy Drink could stand from the rest. We have good news! We did some research a few months back and came up with 8 easy steps to successfully create an Energy Drink.

1. First you must create a name and can design. The name must be bold and edgy yet leave the consumer wondering… A great example would be “Who’s Your Daddy?”. I got a chance to try this awesome drink and not 10 minutes after downing the 16 oz can of pure POWER I wondered… “Who is my daddy?”. Having a catchy name is key!
When it comes to can design… More Glitter = More Jitter!

2. Decide what taste you want to mimic. Many energy drink manufacturers already have recipes that are knock off Red Bulls or Rockstars and all you need to do is add a few more mg’s of caffeine or more Guarana Extract..
Here’s a rule of thumb to remember, More Caffeine = More Sales!!!

3. Refinance your home by pulling a home equity line of credit for $125k or somehow convince your friends and family to raise $125,000 for the MINIMUM order of 250,000 cans. The only way to compete in the energy drink world is to have a 16 oz aluminum can. Many companies will tell you they’re able to wrap a can with your label or wrap a plastic bottle with your label for cheap… DON’T BUY INTO THAT. Everyone knows that if you’re going to be successful, you MUST have a printed 16 oz can. The only downside is cost, but you’re in this for the long haul and spending money the right way is the only way!

4. Spend another $4k-$5k by designing a flash website that search engines will never pick up and your loyal customers will never visit. I have yet to see an Energy Drink company without a website. Oh and make sure you don’t forget the hip techno music in the background!

5. Promote the hell out of your Energy Drink by sponsoring small sports events and teams. A good start would be motocross racers, professional gamers or an offshore powerboat racing team. Remember that an online presence is a must so starting a myspace and facebook page would also be a PLUS. Doing your best to come up with some sort of viral marketing scheme like Cocaine Energy Drink did would be ideal.

6. After showing that you have the stay power, getting with a national distributor is the next step. It’s also the hardest step that 99% of energy drinks are unable to accomplish.

7. This could be the most important one…. Contact the guys from Energy This and get your Energy Drink listed on their website. Why wouldn’t you want to be on the one and only website geared towards energy drink sales? Get your product in the eyes and hands of the consumer.

8. Hold give aways on the Energy This blog so people get a chance to taste your incredibly high caffeinated drink. (remember more caffeine = more sales)!

If you’ve never heard of Cocaine Energy Drink, than you’ve never heard of the most controversial energy drink ever. This week we had our Monster Representative stop by our office and drop off 4 of their new products due out soon.  He brought us three of the new Java products that included Chai Hai, Lo-Ball, and an Irish Blend, as well as their new Mixx’d product.  So far we’ve only tried the new Chai Hai and it’s kind of hard to describe as to how it tastes.  I think it’s going to be a great seller, especially for those people who like Chai Tea, but the new products in my opinion are going to sell like hot cakes.  As I’ve said before, American’s are obsessed with two things, Coffee and Energy drinks.  Monster has taken this concept and run with it making them the leader in Coffee Energy Drinks.  Here’s a list of the Java Products Monster now has: Mean Bean, Loca Moca, Big Black, Chai Hai, Lo-Ball, Irish Blend, Russian, and Nut-Up.

It seems as though everyone is trying to get a piece of the Energy Drink craze so it will be interesting to see what other companies come out with.

I always find it interesting when an Energy Drink Manufacturer redesigns a can or changes the name of a flavor. They do this in hopes to increase sales and profit and I’ve always wondered how much they really gain. They never completely redesign the can as they’ve built a brand and their loyal energy drinkers need to feel as if not much has changed. The latest change came with Cintron’s products, they added more color and a cleaner look to every flavor.

I give the new design… TWO THUMBS UP!

I’m looking forward to see if we incur an increase in sales at our store but until then… take a look at the before and after of the Cintron Sugar Free Mango… and then buy a case!

Rockstar is now introducing their new ROASTED product line that includes a total of three new products, Rockstar Latte, Mocha, and Light Vanilla. I think it was inevitable that Rockstar came out with these new coffee products considering America is obsessed with caffeine and energy drinks.
